What is it?

The Ruckus Reader is more than just an app for your iPad. It’s a learning tool designed to engage your children and inspire them to read and practice important reading skills so they develop a love of reading with characters from brands they love.

We know this too-familiar situation: Your child is really into your iPad. They want to play games. They want to watch movies. They generally want to goof off. And you let them. But you feel guilty because you wish they were using that time to do something infinitely more important. Like learning how to read.

The Ruckus Reader eliminates that guilt completely. Not only does the Ruckus Reader provide children with tons of content colored with their favorite characters, sprinkled with story-based activities and dotted with milestone goals, but it also has built-in tools that send direct and actionable feedback to parents via e-mail. These “Reader Meter” bulletins keep you in the loop by updating you weekly on your child’s progress (or you can receive in-time reports on the website) with detailed information on how long your child is reading, how effective their reading is and how it corresponds with national and state standards, as well as a recommendation on how to improve their reading. You can even share the report with their teachers or anyone you choose so that everyone can contribute to your child’s learning.
